Pricing

Fresh Start IT offers a Fixed Price Development Option
There are numerous advantages to fixed price development projects.  The obvious advantage is that the business owner understands the cost before the project is approved.  To provide an accurate fixed price, the business owner and development partner must have a complete understanding of the project including specifications, testing requirements, delivery dates, etc...

Fixed price development forces an amount of clarity prior to the start of the project that often isn’t achieved until a testing phase.  Features and options can be priced separately allowing the business owner the opportunity to adjust requirements (based on costs and/or timeframes) prior to the start of the project.  Fresh Start IT has developed a three phased approach for delivering fixed price development projects.  The business owner knows the cost prior to the start of each phase.

The First Phase - Discovery
Depending on the complexity of the development project the discovery phase may or may not have any direct costs associated with it.  Fresh Start IT will inform the business owner prior to the start of this phase of all costs associated with it.  Fresh Start IT will work with you and your staff to determine a high level scope of the project.

During discovery the Fresh Start IT staff will analyze the information gathered in the discovery session(s) and provide you with a high level estimate of time, cost and resources (both internal and external) to complete the entire project.  Additionally, Fresh Start IT will provide the business owner with a fixed price for completing the second phase.

The Second Phase - The Creation of a Detailed Project Plan
When the business owner chooses to proceed with this phase, the Fresh Start IT team will spend the appropriate amount of time either at your offices or via teleconference, gathering detailed information about your operating environment, technical requirements, level of client participation, programming requirements and testing considerations.

The Fresh Start IT staff will then document their findings and produce a detailed project plan.  The detailed project plan will include timelines, resource allocations, level of effort and a fixed price to complete the project.

The Third Phase - The Execution of the Detailed Project Plan
The Fresh Start IT staff will develop the project according to the specifications agreed to as part of the project plan.  Validation of the project will be performed using the testing requirements gathered in the project plan.  The project is then delivered to the business owner for final acceptance testing.
