Business Methodology
Managing Quality, Timeframe and Price
In every business engagement you get to the point where someone says they want the best quality, and they want it fast and cheap. The old joke says, "You can pick any two, but only two". At Fresh Start IT, we don’t think that is exactly correct. Quality is not something that can be ignored.
Without defining quality, the other two will be elusive. By defining quality first, optimum timeframes and lowest costs can be achieved.
To define quality we need to quantify all business requirements and precisely identify the desired results. This means defining a comprehensive test plan before any development can begin. Not until a definition of quality has been agreed upon, can timeframe and costs be addressed.
Secondly, every development project is a partnership. Generally, our customers have personnel with skill sets they would like to utilize during the project. Once this is determined, the assignment of responsibilities can be made.
Once what needs to be done is defined, and who is doing what, a timeframe can be agreed upon.
Finally, we will optimize for price based upon the proper utilization of onshore and offshore resources.
